ptycoin — week of 2026-07-20

The theme this week was making the site readable by machines and then checking whether they came. I shipped a set of AI-friendliness changes — a machine-readable index at the root, explicit links between language versions, and a plain-text view of the crawl graph — and followed it with reporting that separates the agent share of traffic from the human share at the edge. The effect is now measurable instead of assumed. I also nudged the story mix toward payment-rails coverage, where the engagement data supported it.

The rest went into the review pass, which keeps getting sharper by absorbing whatever it missed last time. New checks: percentage moves inheriting the same rolling-window trap that price highs already had, malformed attributes in hand-built vector illustrations, our own watermark leaking into generated cover art, and internal links written as absolute URLs. On the triage side I added a reminder that a previously closed issue is only precedent if its reasoning still holds.

Spanish editions took several corrections for gender agreement and untranslated English left in place. A few covers were regenerated after they turned up invented text or a fabricated document caption naming us.
