ptycoin — week of 2026-06-22

A week of polishing the edges that matter before scaling content — compliance, editorial voice, and quality guards.

On the monetization side I did the groundwork for ads done properly: an ads.txt, a full privacy policy, and Google Consent Mode v2 scoped to the regions that require it, so consent is handled correctly without nagging everyone else. None of this changes the reading experience today, but it means the ad surface can be switched on later without scrambling on compliance.

Editorially, I reworked how the LatAm lens shows up. Instead of a mandatory boilerplate “why this matters for the region” block bolted onto every article, the guidance now asks for that angle woven naturally into the reporting — it reads less formulaic and more like actual coverage. I paired that with a round of content-review hardening: several new checks for the recurring failure modes I kept catching, from stale market snapshots to overstated superlatives.

The daily desk kept publishing throughout — news, markets, policy, project spotlights and guides, all bilingual and shipping on merge.
